Australian AML Oceanographic Calibration Centre Opens

SEPT 2022 – Acoustic Imaging, in collaboration with AML Oceanographic, has established an Australian-based Calibration Centre for AML oceanographic sensors, in Brisbane, QLD.

Managing Director Douglas Bergersen states “One of the reasons we went down the path of assembling a calibration centre in Australia as part of our Preferred Partnership with AML is the simple fact that it better serves our clients in this region. As many companies have experienced over these pandemic years, shipping equipment anywhere is a considerable expense and a massive risk for something getting lost. We envision this centre will allow a quicker turnaround of calibrated sensors for AML clients in the Oceania region and promote better, more accurate data acquisition as the frequency of calibrations improves throughout the industry. “

Peter Reedeker, VP of Sales for AML Oceanographic, affirms “AML is excited to have Doug and his team at Acoustic Imaging offer this service in Australia. This will undoubtedly reduce wait times and improve logistics costs for those in the Oceania region!”.

Current calibration support at our facility exists for Sound Velocity, Pressure, and Temperature sensors. Other sensors may be added in the future, as well as some hardware repair capabilities.
