Acoustic Imaging's 3rd Annual High Accuracy Multibeam Training Course was once again hosted by Port of Brisbane at their state-of-the-art passive green facilities with sweeping ocean and river views from Nov 17 - 21, 2014. Participants converged on the port from around the country and across government, defence, private and academic sectors. Professions represented included hydrographic surveyors, GIS specialists, marine geologists and geophysicists. This year the course took a theme driven approach to hydrography and judging by comments made, questions posed and discussion generated by participants and instructors alike a successful forum for dissemination of knowledge among professions was created.

Giles Stimson, Port of Brisbane Hydrographic Surveys Manager, stated: “I think it is great having delegates from a variety of fields and backgrounds attending the course. Such participation makes the discussions interesting and widens the knowledge base outside pure hydrography. We all appreciate the time, energy and commitment Acoustic Imaging provide to the profession, and look forward to hosting the event next year.
